About the Author Gary Koca has had a love of baseball for as far back as he can remember. Professionally, he worked in human resources for 42 years, either as a Federal government employee or contractor. He has written hundreds of position papers, proposals, articles for journals, letters, and many other written products during that time. Now retired and able to devote more time to his love of those two subjects, his major character flaw is being a life-long fan of the Chicago Cubs. Gary is married with two daughters and four grandchildren and lives in suburban Chicago.

The greatest being Ernie Banks, who will always be Mr. Cub. Sammy Sosa hit a Hall of Fame 609 home runs. 545 as a cub. 33 more than Ernie Banks. Sosa hit 66 home runs in 1998, 63 home runs in 1999, 64 home runs in 2001. I know what you are going to say, Sammy Sosa cheated. Well whoever is without sin, cast the first stone. If the sports writers weren't so holier than thou, Sosa sould have been elected to the Hall of Fame on the first ballot. There is no reason why number 21 is not retired by the Cubs. I don't appreciate how you disrespected Sammy Sosa, and I refuse to even read one chapter of your book.

The style of writing is casual but with a strong depth of knowledge. You don't have to be a Cubs fan to enjoy this book. I learned a lot about the players and the game and the thoughts of a true Cub fan.
