9 of 10 people found the following review helpful. Beware! Not really a "Complete Guide" By Jane This "Complete Guide" does not list parks that have been open for several years. For example, the Crystal Cove El Morro state campground in southern California opened in 2011 and is not listed in this guide. Another example is the Ancient Redwoods RV Park on the Avenue of the Giants. It's a good book, but it's not complete, and it may cause you to miss some really nice RV parks/campgrounds.

Tom Stienstra must have had an army of researchers to give you the amount of information about over 2300 state parks, county parks, private campgrounds, Forest Service, BLM land, etc. If you were going to buy just one book about camping, get this one.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Print to small to read By Christine Bettini Looks like this book has a lot of information but the print is so small and a very light ink that it is almost impossible to read it. It you buy I would suggest if you purchase this book also order a magnifying glass.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Better Than The First One By Ursula K. Raphael There is more action and more horror in this sequel than in the first book. Book one relied heavily on suspense, functioning as the setup for the series. Book 2 provides all the terrifying details of the nightmare once known as Hammond. The town has been quarantined, but how can the military hope to contain invisible spiders? The aggressiveness of the infected is also making it impossible for the trapped survivors to find sanctuary. The biggest problem continues to be the actual source of the spiders. Perhaps Book 3 will reveal more about the dark man who reeks of death.Jason Davis has successfully taken a common phobia and turned it into an apocalyptic tsunami of pain, suffering and death. If you are hoping for a happy ending, don't.Watch out for the spiders...

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. each person feels a hot breath then the fine tickle of their body hair moving and for some ... By AudioBook Reviewer Caught in the Web by Jason Davis is as terrifying as his first book, Hatched. Caught in the Web picks up where Hatched left off – the doctor’s office with two men trying to escape Hammond. The doctor calls in CDC and thus the nightmare begins … unknown to anyone, spider eggs have hatched and spread … government involvement which can only end in one way …Everyone is dead; they just haven’t figured it out yet. They won’t until they can see the spiders and by then … it’s too late!Jason is filling in at the bar for his momma, his aunt just killed someone and he has to go rescue his sister. His friend, Sully is in 7th heaven because it is the zombie apocalypse and although he is without his weapons and in a bar that is no match for the zombie hordes he is their only expert. At one point or another, each person feels a hot breath then the fine tickle of their body hair moving and for some they spy a spider just as it whips out of sight. How do you know if someone is infected? They don’t bleed even when they pop their eyes out or scratch a gaping hole in their arteries. Zombies that no one can stop, no matter what they do – they keep coming piece by pieced! For four or five people, they survive only to find they have escaped into another form of captivity. The dark man makes his appearance – dark ash is left behind and his rotted smell and maniacal laughter haunt the survivors.Did the government end the invisible spider invasion? Where did the spiders come from and why are they here? Who is the maniacal man? Stay tuned; I’m sure we will learn more with book 3. If you think you can handle the thought of more spiders …For Mr. Davis I have to say one thing – yes, I’m now afraid of spiders again! A genuine horror writer that knows just how to terrify his readers and create nightmares that will NEVER end!Darren Marlar did an excellent job of narrating. He did repeat a sentence or two a couple of times but I’m not sure if it was him or a glitch with the production as it sounded more mechanical. He inflected the right amount of terror into his voice. Marlar did an excellent job!Production was not without issues. There were a couple of places in which it sounded rough – with sentences being repeated. I believe this may have happened twice. Other than this, it was a good production.Audiobook provided for review by the author. Please find this complete review and many others at my review blog[If this review helped, please press YES. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Nightmares realized on paper... By Patty Rea This is the second book in the series and immediately starts where the first book left off, leaving me with a breathless feeling. The already tense nature of the book only increases by leaps and bounds as the pace quickens and havoc is wreaked upon this small rural town. There were multiple times that the book left me agape, as the mental imagery from the action was magnetic. Like watching a bad car accident, the character's fights to survive is gruesome and heartwrenching, leaving you horrified but unable to tear your eyes away. From the standpoint of a person who didn't like spiders and lives in a small town, this book is multiple nightmare scenarios rolled into one.

7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Good addition to your camping guides By HeatherTee COE campgrounds can be a wonderful alternate to overcrowded national and state sites, and are generally much less expensive. This is a good guide to them, and although the maps (diagrams might be a better term) could be a lot better, with GPS it's pretty easy to hunt them down. I only wish there were more of them in the east! but that is not the fault of the guide.

Excerpt from The Art of GolfA preface would be superfluous were it not necessary to say a word or two about the Illustrations. My aim was to show (for the first time, I believe), by means of instantaneous photography, the movements made by players with a classical style in the process of striking a golf ball. For plates in this book (with the exception of Nos. XII., XIII., XVI., XVII. and XVIII., which are the work of Mr. Alexander Nicol, Photographer) I have to, and do, cordially thank my friend Mr. A. F. Macfie, whose knowledge of the game, and whose skill with the camera, have enabled him to catch movements which are in many cases so swift as to escape ordinary observation. That the illustrations, therefore, truly represent the styles of the fine players who stood for them, no reader need doubt.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Arizona baseball By LSmith Unlike most books with a listing of players, this book of the best baseball players born or raised in Arizona does not rank each player with a number or by a complicated formula. Instead, John Rust simply builds a baseball team with players who were either born in Arizona or developed their skills in the state by playing high school or college baseball in the state. The result is an interesting collection of stories about the best players to hail from Arizona. This team created is a complete team. The book does not simply list the best player at each position. Of course, these players, such as Paul Konerko and Ian Kinsler, are listed first as the starters for the team, and there is one for each position. Rust takes it a step further and also has a complete starting rotation of pitchers, additional pitchers for the bullpen, a backup catcher, a few backup position players and a manager for the team. This is a nice touch to include the other players and not just the starting nine. Each player has a brief write-up on his major league career, his qualifications for the team (whether a native of the state or one who relocated to the state and played high school or college baseball in the state) and the highlights of his time in the major leagues. The stories do not contain many quotations or anecdotes and are fairly short in nature. This made the book a quick and easy read that gave just enough information to fully explain why this player made the team. After the team is compiled, Rust decides to see if this team would win a “rematch” of the 2001 World Series when the Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the New York Yankees in what some consider to be one of the best World Series ever played. Using the Strat-O-Matic game with the players for each team, the World Series is played. That result will not be given as a spoiler in this review.Overall, I enjoyed this book. I thought the creation of the team was fine, but the replay of the 2001 World Series was a nice touch and made the book better. This is a good read for this time of year when baseball fans are eagerly awaiting the start of spring training.I wish to thank Mr. Rust for providing a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
