Challenges real and imagined occupy so much time -perhaps it is normal for the last phase of childhood to be full of imagined worlds, to prepare for adulthood. Project Paranormal takes the read to many places but the most wonderful journey is to those teenage years. Now, as an adult, we know what the journey is in reality. But to go back, to remember what we thought it would be and reflect on what is was and is can be an adventure in itself. I very much enjoyed reading this book, it stayed with me when I put it down and drew me back until it was finished. I've put it in my to read again pile and heartily recommend it to everyone.

Intriguing Blend of Realistic, Interesting Characters with Sci Fi, Fantasy By Kim Ryan Readers of all ages will enjoy this interesting tale of kids with psychic powers and an evil time-traveling villian. The characters are well-developed characters and believable. I especially liked the insight into the main character's autistic and math medical genius aister, Mary. If this book lacks anything, it is only the fact that it leaves readers wanting more after the last page is done.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Good And Evil In The Near Future By Louis N. Gruber Jeremy Cay is a precocious thirteen year old in the year 2063. It's a time when all the kids want these hot new brain gadgets called PLUGs, when time travel is common but mostly illegal, and when children are being genetically enhanced for psychic abilities. Jeremy will have a special role to play in history, but in the meantime he must deal with his sister Mary, his girlfriend Alex, and the bully Kjell. Lucifer and his thuggish assistant Damon thwart him at every turn, piling layers of terror on top of the usual ten-age angst. There's an alternate universe too--Galatia, which his sister longs to escape to. Will Alex defeat the forces of evil? Will he survive? Will Mary find her way to Galatia? Will she come back? You'll have to read the book to find out.Author L.A. Patrick writes a perky, quirky young adult science fantasy with interesting characters vivid emotions, dramatic conflicts, and riveting battles. It's all about good versus evil. The dialogue sparkles and Author Patrick has even created her own twenty-first century slang. On the downside the plot is hard to follow, there are too many characters, and the writing is often repetitious. Still, if you are looking for a young adult sci-fi thriller that will take you back to your worst memories of high school, this might be just what you're looking for. Reviewed by Louis N. Gruber.
