About the Author While Jamie Nicolle has always dreamed of publishing stories that others would love to read, it wasn't until she turned 50 that her dream was realized. "The first one I obsessed over!" she tells people. "I constantly tweaked it, added and then deleted portions I wasn't happy with, changed all of the illustrations at least twice and then worried incessantly that no one would want to read it . . . I finally had to tell myself to publish and move on or I'd never achieve the goals I'd dreamed of for so long." Since Jamie is now working on books fourteen and fifteen simultaneously, pushing herself to get that first book published was all it took to find her groove. When Jamie's fingers aren't flying over the keyboard writing and illustrating children's books, she relaxes by reading romance novels, creates polymer clay jewelry, and takes long walks on the beach.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A Delightful Read! By Liesel Jones This was a delightful story about an exciting fishing day for a boy and his grandpa. The author was able to transport me right with them and taught me a thing or two about fishing, lol. The illustrations were cool in that it seemed to mix animated with live features. I highly recommend it and look forward to more stories from the author.
