ENJOYABLE, IF A BIT LIGHT By Amazon Customer I enjoyed reading "Just for the Summer" but gave it four stars instead of five because I felt that it was a bit light. I would have liked to have got to know all the characters in more depth. Also, there was one part of the book - where one of the men verbally abuses some poor man on the other side of the creek for putting out his rubbish - that I couldn't see the point of at all. It didn't add anything to the story, as far as I could tell, and I think it would have been better to have left it out.However, having said that, I did enjoy the book and am thinking of buying the recently-published sequel, so that I can learn what has happened to the characters over the years.
