Historical fiction that is true to the times-Not for the young reader By dave This is a historical fiction novel about the time around the French and Indian War and particularly about a fort in Tennessee. It is very easy to read and brings out many of the challenges of every day life on the frontier. The subject of the French and Indian war can be rather gruesome and while this is not overly disturbing, it certainly is not for the young reader.
